The Equipment Distribution Centre (EDC), located at The Royal Children's Hospital, provides medical equipment hire and sales for children in Melbourne, clients of the hospital and also to the wider community. The EDC was established within The Royal Children's Hospital in 1990 to meet the equipment needs of children both in the short and long term.ÌýThe EDC provides a wide range of paediatric special needs and medical equipment hire, such as wheelchairs, shower chairs, over toilet frames, breast pumps, car seats. The EDC also sells a range of dermatology, continence, and medical consumables and staff will be happy to discuss our range of products with you over the phone or in person. To hire discharge equipment please contact the EDC directly. All equipment issued on a hire basis will require aÌýdeposit (refundable on return of equipment) and a hire fee, based on the time the item is required. We require payment at the time of equipment collection, and clients will need to complete a hire agreement prior to issue.
