Specimens must be transported to laboratory immediately after collection

Lab Notes:

These tissue specimens MUST be placed in the -70°C freezer LS-F-002 as soon as they arrive in the laboratory to prevent denaturation of the mitochondrial enzymes. The specimens are to be placed in the 'Mitochondrial lab' box in Specimen Reception -70°C freezer. Specimens MUST be transported to the Mitrochondrial lab on DRY ICE. Call VCGS on 8341 6234 to pick up specimen without delay.

Do not pack dry ice in a sealed container.  Use appropriate PPE.
