QF Gold tubesÌýSet of 4 tubesÌý(available from Pathology Collection Dept or, if out-of-hours, available from Specimen Reception RWH / RCH).Ìý

COLLECTION NOTES:Ìý

1.ÌýMust fill each tube in between black indication line in correct order of draw GREY, GREEN, YELLOW, PURPLE coloured tops.

2. Immediately after collection invert tube 10 times

3.ÌýSEND TO LABORATORY IMMEDIATELY.

LAB NOTES:

1.ÌýProcess with priority. Ìý(For RWH samples - keep samples at room temperature and send with nextÌýroutine courier to RCH Specimen Reception for incubation).

2. DO NOT SPIN.

3. Incubate ASAP at 37^oC for 16 hours in an UPRIGHT position.

4. After incubation, place an INCUBATED sticker on the specimen bag and forward to Microbial Serology (sample can be stored atÌý4°C for up to 3 days, if out of hours).
