LAB NOTES:

If received before 11.00hrs Monday, Wednesday, Friday (excluding public holidays):

-Send to testing laboratory with the routine scheduled 11.00hrs metropolitan courier.

If received Tuesday or Thursday; or after 11.00hrs Monday, Wednesday, Friday;  or on weekends or public holidays:

-Contact requesting Doctor

-Determine if can wait until next weekday 11.00hrs scheduled courier or if it must sent urgently.

-Organise  external courier for transport to referral lab if urgent.

Test performed daily.
