Special tube required: EDTA with Trasylol (Aprotinin) inhibitor added

 (Contact laboratory for prepared tube) 

Send to laboratory on ice pillow. 

Lab notes:

Cold centrifuge and freeze aliquot ASAP. Transport frozen.

Send to testing laboratory on dry ice. Do not pack dry ice in a sealed container.  Use appropriate PPE.

(To prepare tube: Dispense 250uL of 10,000KIU/mL Aprotinin (Nordic Pharma) into plain 5mL EDTA tubes).
