Fibroblasts- 3mm punch biopsy of skin must extend into dermal layer. Place in tissue culture medium.

Obtain Tissue culture medium from Laboratory Services- Anatomical pathology (business hours), Metabolic autopsy kit Specimen Reception (after hours)

Lab Notes:
Store specimen in the refrigerator (not frozen).  Add procedure code SAVTC for Tissue Culture and sendaway to VCGS.  Add note on request form for cells to be returned to Specimen Reception when available.  When returned to Specimen Reception, the returned cells to be sent to Children's Hospital at Westmead.
